Boredom: The Movie (3min)

Boredom is the most dangerously overlooked emotion at work for smart people.

I’ve been researching it for years in individuals but in the latest Midlife Work-life Satisfaction Report it screamed at me from the results.

I could no longer ignore it.

Or believe that is was just my clients who experience it.

Boredom exists at epidemic levels in organisations across the globe. And not enough of us are talking about it.

I am here to change that.

This movie is the result of a collaboration with the brilliant people at Kaois Media (a start-up led by my younger brother). If it resonates, please share it with your friends and colleagues.

So many smart people are slowly suffocating doing work that sucks their souls dry, work that dulls their brain blades, work that slowly makes them fade away.

And this is dangerous for the career longevity of my entire generation.

And this is dangerous for the happiness of my entire generation.

Let’s tackle this, together.

Boredom - the 3-minute movie (Share to start important conversations)

It probably doesn’t need to be said but boredom happens irrelevant of gender.

I choose a female main character as the ‘counting down the days until she could stop working’ story-line was inspired by a wonderfully talented and very smart client from years ago who spent years doing just that every Sunday night, in the bath.

It lodged somewhere in my heart as something very important.

But I didn’t know what to do with it until now.
